256mb MP3/WMA Player - £9.97 [TESCOS]

Just as a stocking filler for the kids or a little bit of indulgence for yourself

256MB flash memory.
Stores up to 80 tracks (average file size 2.9MB).
LCD Screen with blue backlight.
Built-in microphone.
High quality digital MP3/WMA playback.
DRM compliant.

£9.97 @ Tesco's (Maybe priced £19.99 on the shelf edge but scans at £9.97)

Merry crimbo....

Normal is getting dressed in clothes that you buy for work and driving through traffic in a
car that you are still paying for - in order to get to the job you need to pay for the clothes
and the car, and the house you leave vacant all day so you can afford to live in it.

in that case you should have got it free.

if tescos mark up something wrong, they refund your money and you keep the item. I dont see why it shouldnt work for underpriced items

Bought some of these for prezzies -
argh problem - my computer calls it an "unknown device" & it don't appear in file explorer
i.e. I can't download any files.
bundled drivers are for win98
I suspect I need an updated usb driver for XP but am getting nowhere - ideas anyone?
cheers

Im no windows expert, but all devices like that ive used on XP havnt needed drivers at all (like mem pens and card readers).

Try plugging it in to another USB port from the one you first tried - this will cause windows to 'see it again' (driver needed for each port) and perhaps you might be 2nd time lucky!

did you pay a tenner?

Yep, tenner; they had a big bin at altrincham with stacks in...
Still no joy - I've done the obvious stuff, tried other ports, tried other usb devices in those ports. Worked straight away on my mates XP machine (like it's supposed to)
I need a kick ass usb driver for xp. . . .
cheers
