Zetec Plumbing?
Hi,
I'm just about to get the engine/gearbox in - and will bolt upto the propshaft - so will have a true rolling chassis...
Now - need to start work on the plumbing - I'm using a reconditioned Mk2 Escort Rad and a 2.0L Zetec engine - what are the options open to me -
I'm going to use a header tank..

First thing. You don't need a water rail of any sort - as sold by raceline. Just take an elbow off the standard zetc stat housing and run your
top hose secured along the top chassis rail. That's what we did all those years back.
Then we made up a bottom hose to suit the MKII escort radiator we used - elbows, aluminium joining sections etc.
Err - that was it.
There's agreat deal about the zetec that is not at all mysterious 
P.S. This was in a Sylva, but it would work just the same in any RWD setup.

I'll get cracking right away - thank god about that 'water rail' - its way over priced!

and below the hoses that can be used for this plumbing.

Only change I need to make to mine is to plumb the header tank into the lower rad hose - at the moment, the pressure of the water causes it to rise up
into the tank. Plumbing directly into the lower hose should put it into a suction state.
