Not having much experience of the loads placed on the these Id say from a purely aesthetic standpoint they look really nicely fabbed and finished.

Nice one!

Why have you ground the welds? Something to hide?

Hi Big Wasa

They look good! :-)

I'm interested in your 'Y' mount - what bits of the engine is it bolting to?

I'm trying to 'trial' fit my engine this weekend - completely ran out of time last weekend.

I notice you're only down the road in Spalding :-) I'm in Pete-bog-horror..

Cheers,

Murray

Gazza...
Only ground one weld (yellow) and that was an after thought to round it over. The white arrow shows where I ground the mill of before welding and a quick clean after.

Just wondered if they were man enough for the job ?

You can see my original mount below which was man enough until one of the bolts into the block came loose and dropped out...at which time the plate by the block started to warp horribly. Have since replaced the entire mount with one in the shape of a Y very similar to yours but with a large plate at the front which uses all 4 tapped holes.

BTW, I had to tap the holes halfway down the block (the ones in use above) ?
