Pinto Sump
Can anybody tell me the best way of getting a short sump for the Pinto. I understand that the RS2000 fits but are as rare as hens teeth. Does
anybody know of an alternative?

alloy sump
they are not that hard to come by, get yourself a copy of classic ford, there are rallying spares people, better than dealing with private sellers, i
picked one up for £70 with the different pickup pipe, do not buy a repaired one though. shortning and putting wings on a sump is going to cost you
more, plus the alloy looks better. hope that is of some help.

Theres a guy on the robin hood site,
http://rhocar.org.uk/
that will chop your sump and pickup + put the wing on to make up the space for lost oil for about 50 quid.
I think MK will do it for about the same too.
