X Flow Engine and Clutch
Any ideas on why my X Flow mated to a four speed box and fitted with a new clutch has the following problem.
With the Hydraulic clutch release arm, "D" spacer, all the right clips etc and release bearing fitted. The clutch arm has to travel so far
before the release bearing touches the clutch cover fingers that it has no more travel before hitting the gearbox at the release arm entry hole.
Could it be the wrong clutch cover, the wrong flywheel or ?????

Hydraulic? Ford 4 speed, from an early model? Ali 2000 bellhousing?
Escort 4 speed etc. should be cable release.
Sounds like a mismatch of coverplate to arm.
I have a spare hydraulic one in shed, will check it's size.

It's hydraulic as per mexico 1600 4 speed with cast bell housing. All parts look correct but there is something strange going on !
