Can someone tell me what Flywheel, clutch and pressure plate I require to fit my standard 2L Zetec to a type 9 gearbox.

Thanks

I can confirm it is QH Part CCT133 for the release bearing. Just done a conversion from MT75 to a Type 9 (race spec with Quaife internals) on my 2L Zetec and this is the bearing I used. If you have trouble getting a QH part, an equivalent part # is NHD2044.

zetec type 9

I used the ct133 ,1800 fly wheel ,1800 sierra cvh plate, zetec clutch cover with a mk 1 mk 2 rs2000 bell housing,a starter motor off the sierra dohc engine and it works a treat Rescued attachment IMG_1112.JPG

I have used an 1800 flywheel and clutch and burnt out two plates with clutch slip, particularily if I floor it at 70 in fourth or fifth. Just waiting for an 1800 flywheel from retro ford, redrilled for an uprated pinto spinner and pressure plate.

Hi,
What you need is A 1.8 Zetec flywheel and the EARLY 1.6/1.8 zetec clutch assembly.
This MUST have the LARGER splined hole in the centre. The later ones were smaller.
The standard Sierra release bearing will fit (QH part No. CCT132)
This is the setup I'm running with no problems at all.

NB. THIS LINK is an excellent resource for fitting the Zetec but be carefull with the part numbers. Some are wrong. The descriptions however are spot on.

Didn't someone say that the CVH flywheel is better because its quite a bit lighter than the Zetec one?

No the 1800 Zetec is the one commonly used. It's better than the 2.0L. The 2.0L one weighs a ton.

Some QH part numbers for you.

Friction plate C1189AF
Cover plate Q10066

The above are in QH kit QKT690AF which is for an early Mondeo.
You'll also need the CCT133 release bearing.

These part numbers were correct about 6 months ago when I rebuilt a Westfield with a Zetec & Type 9.

That is one of the part No's that are wrong
I can't remember what it was but it certainly wasn't a spigot bearing
