throttle linkage kits

Trying to save money, has anyone tried to make there own throttle linkages? have twin 45 webers on pinto.

i've seen this done, very easy.

get a piece of steel and bend it in the shape of a top hat, holes in the base should attach to the mounting holes in the carbs, then drill a hole for the cable and make a support for the cable sleeve so th cable doesn't fray. get one of those cable clamps and slot it into an arm from the linkage shaft and bob's your uncle.

I have seen one put together in about half an hour.

If no one understand i may draw a diagram....
