zetec to type 9

Just mated gearbox with engine, looks like the release bearing i ordered is the wrong one.
I am using zetec pressure plate, pinto friction plate,(and what i thought i ordered) a capri release bearing if i remember correctly....
Has anyone got the capri release bearing handy so they can measure the height..i seem to be about 1.5 to 2cm short..i think the parts store has given me a sierra release bearing which is about 3.5cm high..any part no's would be handy.thanks

CCT 133 release bearing

The whole bearing top to bottom measures 41mm.

I just dropped zetec in yesterday and bolted up to a type 9,1800 flywheel and early mondeo 220mm clutch kit.
Throw of the pivot arm on the gearbox looks pretty much like the distance i had with the pinto.

Hope this helps

Yep cct133 release brg. I have zetec flywheel, zetec 1.8 clutch and capri releaase brg. works a treat.

I did have a problem with the bell housing being to long to start with so i had to change the box. Are u sure u have a standard bell housing??

Pic found of QH CT133
I have used a zetec 1800 flywheel drilled for uprated pinto diaphragm and friction plate and it uses the standard sierra release bearing.

From the engine mounting surface to the gearbox mounting surface is 7" or 178mm for the standard type 9 IIRC on the deisel and v6 boxes it is about 200mm
