Thanks too some great help from john (build a car in 7 weeks) conrod,the lardy lump fired up 1st time.

Well when i say 1st time it was me on the keys and conrod on the throttle and dizzy turning bit + about 5 mins of fidling.

Sounds sweet too ,only one minor problem,but hey who needs that part of the dipstick anyhow.

DIPSTICK

Yeah anyway,one of those flexy dipsticks as used with some kind of electrical pickup sensor.

Thought it was easiest to use as you can disconnect at handle so it makes it a doddle to shorten,problem was bizness end with min max marks on decided life in the bottom of the sump would be nicer than dipstick tube .

Found an old MK2 escort dip and cut to length,that'll do.

Nice one Bob,

We have very much the same setup. I got the Escort radiator as well; can u please show or let me know how you routed the lower outlet pipes; as i found it very close to the belts. MK say try re-routing,but it's really tight finding another way around.
