4AGE to Type 9 Box
Does anyone know what clutch kit I would need to fit between a 4AGE engine and a Ford type 9 gearbox? I know Raw engineering do a complete conversion
kit but their clutch kit is a bit OTT price wise and I'm sure I could get it cheaper from a motor factors if I knew what car it was from. That
way I'm only reliant on Raw to supply the alloy bell housing.
7 out of 10 people suffer with hemorrhoids. Does that mean the other 3 enjoy them?

well, I looked into this for my vauxhall.
the ford splines are 1" x23, so you need a clutch plate of that size for the input shaft that will fit in your 4age clutch housing.
you might also need a spiggot bearing for the crank and then a clutch fork and release bearing for a cable type clutch or hydraulic cylinder off an
old saab that you'd need to make an adapter to fit for a hydraulic clutch.

summat called a T50 box olts right up, but is a little rare I hear in UK.
The locost aussie list talks about em alot and I think they are also available in the USA.
Sea freight may not be as expensive as you think, and if you can wait 3 months for delivery you may be able to get a box shipped from aus or usa that
bolts right up.
I nearly converted my jag from auto to manual using a bellhousing made by a company in aus, who also could supply a supra box to go with it. The
shipping wasnt as horrific as you may imagine, done the right way....

Interesting site, not seen that before.
I can't seem to find whether they sell outright or on exchange basis. Judging by the price I would suggest it's exchange which kind of
negates anyone building without a T50.
As well as bellhousing, all important gearlever is missing. Suppose one could be turned up though, it's not an unusual shape.
T50's are now very sought after, regardless of condition. The Irish rally boys want them!
Raws' conversion bellhousing and clutch plate conversion is a tad expensive now. It used to be reasonable but as soon as people started buying
up the 4age engines their prices went up. Can't blame them, supply and demand.

toyota boxes
I believe that there a number of toyota boxes that with fit the 4age/3sge engines including the t50.(corolla AE86 RWD) and W50, W55-W59 (RWD celica
and Supra)
The links below show the many combinations, I think.
Also info on other toyota bits and pieces.
Hope its some help.
