Fuelling advice + weber 32/36 jet sizes
Went to a rolloing road session on the weekend
see thread...http://www.locostbuilders.co.uk/viewthread.php?tid=65612
This is my Air/Fuel ratio print out from the day. As you can see it goes very lean on acceleration, but levels back out further up the rev range.
Q1. What ratio should I be aiming for and should it stay more or less the same throughout the rev range?
Q2. The carb is a 32/36 DGV taken from a 2.0 Pinto Capri and has the original jets fitted. Which jets should I change and by how much?
Cheers for any info you can give.
Nick
Edit to add...
The engine idles fine and pulls well above 3.5k rpm, but does hesitate when pulling away or re-opening the throttle after changing up. I sort of
drive around this though, by keeping the revs up.

I have the same carb on a crossflow, I had the same symptoms as you, hesitation on throttle opening etc.
I mixed and matched main jets, going up a couple of sizes seems to have done the trick. No hesitation and bicuity plugs
Have a look and see what main jets you have in at the mo', I've built up a bit of a collection and could stick some in the post for you if
I have the right ones.
BTW have you a rebuild manual for the carb, I could send you a good one in PDF format ?

Hi Tony,
Now you mention it, I do have a PDF guide to overhauling the carb and I think it may have been you who sent it to me some time ago.
Thanks for the offer of the jets, it would be handy to try some different ones in the carb. I'll have a look and see what I need and drop you a
U2U.
Cheers
Nick
