Whilst I have the gearbox off....
Afternoon folks.
I have just taken the gearbox off the 4a-ge engine that is going in my car, in order to inspect/replace the clutch/release bearing.
Is there anything else that is worth doing whilst I have them seperated? I'm going to give the inside of the casing a bit of a clean with a
stiff nylon brush, there seems to be rather a lot of built up dust/debris....
Cheers
Andy
Dammit! Too many decisions....

You could replace the input and output (if there is one) oil seals. Bearing in flywheel centre (forget the correct name). But if they're not
giving trouble, maybe don't disturb. Would certainly replace clutch plate unless you KNOW it's good.

Are you a Mac user or a retard?
