is there a type 9 gearbox workshop manuals available
if so where can i obtain one

The Haynes book that deals with the Type 9 is called "Gearbox Overhaul Manual". This book covers several different manufacturers, Ford being just one, but the overhaul part on the Type 9 is very clear, and easily understood. HTH Ray
