Zetec fuel pressure??

Any idea what sort of fuel pressure my zetec needs, with GXSR throttle boddies i seem to have around 120-130 Psi at the moment and seem to flood the engine on one blast (although i suspect megasquirt problems) i just want to check the fuel pressure first!!

Hi,

A standard Zetec fuel pressure should be 2.5 to 3.0 Bar with the vac pipe off the regulator. Sounds like you may have the regulator the wrong way around.

It sounds to me like you have it plumbed correctly, or you would see no pressure. The small vacuum pipe is needed as not only does it increase pressure on boost, it also reduces pressure at idle so gives a wider resolution to your injectors.
The fuel pressure will depend on what injectors you are using and can be varied to increase the flow capacity of your injectors.

120psi is only good for testing your connections as I would be surprised if your injectors would work properly at that pressure.
With GSXR750 (and these flow more than 600 ones) injectors I am running 50psi and am reaching a maximum duty cycle of 72% so I will probably reduce back to 40-45psi.

At least you know that you have no leaks

Oh..... and nice BIIIIIG picture

Summer's here!!!!
