Type 9 Clutch release bearing

I need a new clutch release bearing to fit on the carrier of the type 9 release arm.

The standard one i have (knackered) has a flat face to push against the bent fingers of the ford clutch cover springs, but i want a round faced bearing to push against the flat springs of the alfa cluctch cover.

Looking in BURTON they list a few, but not the sizes.

Can you get a bearing the correct size with a round face or do you have to fit a round spacer?

or can you just turn the bearing rouns ?

Before you judge a man, walk a mile in his shoes.

By that time, who cares.

You're a mile away, and you've got his shoes

i might have a spare one from my pinto clutch kit you could have, think it might be flat faced though, why do you need a round raced one? surely a flat is better --->less strain on the bearing etc i'll check tomorrow, its a bit late now......

I took the Alfa bearing and re-sleeved it to fit over the shaft on the type 9 . I had to extend the sliding sleeve on the bearing so it did not get pushed off the shaft.

I hope that made sense!

It was ok to do , just pressed out the existing slide and turned a new one to replace.
But then I used the alfa clutch so maybe not suitable for your bell housing.

The bearing is in the pic.
