Westfield Type 9 Gearbox Mount - Fitting
I have just received my westfield type 9 gearbox mount and am now wondering how to fit it. It is not wide enough to span the transmission tunnel.
I was thinking of using the middle bit of the sierra mount which is just the right size, however has the rubber mount in the middle.
Has anyone used this before, it looks like I could cut out the rubber centre section and bolt in the new westfield mount.
I will try and get some pics later.
Many thanks, Andy

why don't you make an adapter plate to span the area where the mount fixes, then bolt the mount to the adapter plate.

Thats Plan B, sounds a little bit more work that adapting the sierra bit. I guess my answer really is to try it and see.

I welded on a couple of plates of 3mm strip to the chassis. Put an 8mm or so hole in each and bolted the mount to that.
