Long shaft Short shaft type 9 + 36mm Nut

Silly me I nid not even know there was a short and a long shaft type 9.

Have a broken short shaft and a repalment long shaft, decided to make one good one out of two and fit new bearings as I go.

Started stripping down and found 36mm ish 12 sided nut which i have no socket for. Off to the shops for me.

I think you will find the short and long shafts have different ratios and are not interchangable.

If you put the long shaft in then your bell housing will need to be spaced out by 32mm or your clutch wont fit.
Just like putting the V6 box on a Pinto with the pinto bellhousing and if you are goint to do that then you would be better off putting a whole V6 box in for the better ratios.
