last bit of cooling ssystem help

Morning

I'm just finshing off plumbing in the cooling system and could do with some help.
seasrched through previous posts and photos and I'm still unsure.

I have a 2.0 pinto with 32/36 carb with automatic choke and a polo rad with rover 214 expansion bottle

These are the connections I have left un connected

1) small 8mm connection on top of rad
2) 16mm connection on rear of choke on carb
3) a small 8mm connection on top of expansion bottle and 16mm connection on bottom
4) a currently blanked off connection on water pump

my laymans train of thought would be to connect the small rad pipe to the small pipe on bottle
connect the choke to the blanked off connection on water pump
fit a t piece on the above connection and connect to the bottle

firstly is this right and if so does it matter where abouts on the pipe i fit the t piece

it's confusing as with everyones car being individual and therefore different all the coolant plumbing photos I've looked at are different.

I know this has been covered to death but I'm still unsure and would appreciate any help.

thanks
Nigel

1) small 8mm connection on top of rad
this should run to the small tube on the expansion bottle metioned in 3
2) 16mm connection on rear of choke on carb connect normaly to waterpump mentioned in 4
3) a small 8mm connection on top of expansion bottle and 16mm connection on bottom
the 8mm one to 1, and the 16mm connection should be in the lower radiator hose.
4) a currently blanked off connection on water pump goes to inlet manifold mentioned in 2.

You need to check one thing though because I don't know what a Rover bottole looks like.

Check if the small top pipe actually goes into the expansion bottle, or if it's just an overflow pipe after the presure cap blows if overheated.

If the pipe is not going into the bottle, look up a different one which has this. the system will then self bleed itself.

Hope this helps.
