black top silver top head
can a black top head fit a silver top block. i think there the same but iam not sure.

not sure ,
some say yes some say no !
why not buy the whole lot in one go,
then if it does not fit you have the lot to change over if needed
let me know if it does fit !

ive just been down and put a deposit on the whole engine ive gotta pick it up next week. when i get it back i will compare the two but ill prob just
use the black top engine now as its only got 30.000 miles on it.

The heads are different, but I believe they'll both fit the same blocks. The blacktop head uses solid followers and shims, whereas the silvertop
is hydraulic.
The headgaskets are the same, which means that they'll at least physically bolt together.
