Fuelling problem when warm
The engine runs fine when you start it and idles fine, once you have been driving for about 10 mins it struggles when you put your foot down or at
high revs, sounds like a fuelling problem as the engine stutters.
I've read on here about fuel evaporating or something when the engine warms up, done a search but couldnt find anything about it.
Had the carbs off a couple of weeks ago to change the gaskets and its been doing it since. It still idles and cruises fine when warm, but thats no fun
is it!

Perhaps you have an air leak somewhere after your gasket change or something is sticking against the gasket?

Strange that its only when its warm if it was an air leak or something sticking, if I leave the car to cool down for 10 mins its ok for another 5 mins
again.

Yeah got a vent on the fuel tank, the car has been on the road for about 10 months now and the problem has only occured in the last 2 weeks after i
changed a few of the gaskets on the carbs.
I can drive all day long as long as I dont put my foot down or drive at high revs. Also its fine before its warmed up properly.

I may be complete off target here but what engine & dizzy??
Only because I had running troubles recently when engine got warm after 10-15 minutes & it was the module on the side of the dizzy for the leccy
ignition playing up with the heat.

Sorry should have said, its a 2.1 pinto with twin weber 45s.
Standard dizzy with coil, no ignition module or amp.

Not being funny - but if it's been fine for 10months and is now playing up since you changed the gaskets - chances are you've either
screwed putting on the new gaskets or dislodged/bust something doing it
I blame Roy Walker for me saying it as I see it
I'd start with the gaskets - if things are getting hot and it's happening - chances are the gaskets aren't sealing

If you believe you're not crazy, whilst everybody is telling you, you are - then they are definitely wrong!

What about the plugs, leads and coil, could one of these be going and not running well under load, presuming of course that at idle its ok. Just
another little thing to consider.

I would also check your fuel line from the tank, to make sure that you haven't got some sort of partial blockage. Ray
