Tickover RPM on x-flow with BCF2 cam.
Out of curiosity, more than anything else...
At what rpm do people with a crossflow engine and a BCF2 cam get a steady and reliable tickover?
I can't seem to go below 1000 - 1100 rpm without the risk of it dying at the wrong time, such as coming up to a junction.
Otherwise it runs really well...

About 1,000 ish on mine. That's with a Piper 270 which is pretty much the equivilent of the BCF2 IIRC.

Mine ticks over at about 850/900 rpm with a BCF2 when hot although cold running still needs tweaking

I guess that your Megasquirt helps a lot there - I think my Weber down-draught carb needs some tweaking, but I'm no expert on them.
One of these days I'm going to have to go over to MS...

Didn't go M/S in the end, used an Emerald ECU . Well pleased with results although it cost a bit more.
