new blacktop zetec to type 9
On the new series 3 blacktop zetec, if you keep the 2 litre flywheel and clutch the release bearing needed is from an old 2.3/2.5 diesel transit if
mating to a type 9.
Can anyone confirm or give us some info.

I am right in the middle of this exact scenario. Personally i used the CCT303 bearing. I haven't run the engine yet, but the bearing seems to
fit OK and sits roughly where i would expect it to in terms of the clutch release arm.
I am using a new blacktop 2.0 Zetec with the clutch and flywheel that came with the engine onto a standard type 9.
Someone else more knowledgeable will confirm though...

I am not sure but you can buy a lightened 1.8 flywheel redrilled to fit a pinto clutch (inc bearing!!)from RetroFord in Corby for around £55.00
They also sell lots of other bits for converting Zetecs to RWD.
Summer's here!!!!

On my blacktop, I'm using a lightened 1.8 silvertop flywheel from Dunnell. Uses a pinto clutch and spigot bearing included in the kit.
