Bike carb angles
Right, given the issues I'm having with the injectors on my X11, I'm looking at converting the engine to carbs. However, the injection
head has the inlets at a near vertical angle, whilst the carbs are much nearer 45 degrees, if not less. Anyone know if the blackbird carbs are capable
of running at a much greater angle? Or what the greatest angle they will run at is? I could always remove a bit of the tract to lower the angle if I
must. Although that would require a head removal.

I would have thought that the carb floats would be effected by being mounted at such an angle.....

I agree entirely, hence the question. But I have seen a bogg bros set up with the carbs near vertical, so although not optimum, any idea what the
limit would be?

Well yes, that's what I thought.... When you crank a bike onto an edge the carbs keep on running okay..... but then why adjust the float float
valve relative to horizontal and not just a handy reference point on the carb??..... Then again, the float valve adjusts for the petrol level in the
float tank, but I expect there are limits to how far it can adjust....
Confusing.....

Mmmmm, I might just whack them on and see what happens!

I spoke to Boggs about float angle. They basically said it hardly makes any difference. So like you say just stick them on and see what happens.
