trying to fit engine, should oil fall out gearbox?
I'm in the process of doing the engine and gearboxes first fit in the chassis, the problem is when I hoist the engine and gearbox (type 9) in
the air, a load of oil pees out of the splined end that joins the propshaft. Is this normal???
Any suggestions of what I should do?
cheers.
Steve.

Normal fit a rubber glove over the end as th oils stinks and is messy
If it looks wrong it probably is wrong.

don't write OT on a new thread title, you're creating the topic, everything you write is very much ON topic!

Plug the hole . It does happen when the propshaft is removed, wad some rag in it or a dummy shaft.
yours, Pete
I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.
