2 engines

how would be best to run two engines. would you put one on each back wheel. or would you run them on a chain diff.what do you think would be best.

iam just after a bit of info hows best to di it. as there is space between the engines i cant fit it onto one dif. i would have to run a shaft out of each side of the diff then space the two spockets then put the driveshafts on the ends. but this doesnt seem a cheap way of doing it.

And therein lies the rub, there is no cheap way of doing it, at least not reliably for general road / trackday use.

one engine on the front wheels, on engine on the back wheels.

I wouldn't put one on each back wheel, incase one engine is a bit more powerful than the other, could maybe end up pushing the car to one side?

If you do that its great for going in straight lines, but (comparatively speaking at least) it will be hopeless in the corners unless you spend 5 figure sums on trick ECUs to manage the power balance when you're cornering, as Z Cars proved with their Z100WR

i seriously thought about pulling my tl out and putting a pairof tl motors in grasstrack style but opted for nitrous instead.gained the same bhp/tonne that i would have got with the extra engine but without the grief and all the extra weight

NS Dev has made some comments in the thread I linked to at the top, and he too suggests it will be bloomin expensive to make road reliable.
