Automatic Zetec donor any good?

Hi

Would an engine out of an auto 1.8 Zetec Mk2 Mondeo be suitable for replacing a 1600GT Xflow (connected to a type 9)?

Cheers
Gary

Should be, but you'll need the flywheel, sump and water pump from a 1.8 Escort to make it fit.

You also might need to have the spigot bearing that usually supports the clutch and flywheel pressed into that engine.

Engines with torque convertors dont usually have them fitted.

You also need the housing for the trigger sensor as it is different on the auto.
