Bike Carbs on a Pinto

Hi Guys

I've got a mate who's thinking of fitting bike carbs on his 2 litre Pinto road rally car.

Anybody done it out there? Any pictures, tips, hints etc.?

Regards

Wyn

Hi chap,
im in the process of making a manifold for my ZX9 carbs that i have brought.
Im using the manifold as arough template for the base section which fits to the engine.
There are many pictures on this forum.
Try looking under jacko's picture archive under ZX9 pictures

Guilty as charged - had mine on road for 2 or 3 months. Where do i send pics to?

Ive used ZZR1100's and K&N challenger filter. You will probs find some pics if you do a search.

I've still haven't got my engine built yet (2.1 Pinto)

but these are ready to go on it

alloy manifold, ZX9R carbs (first guess jetted) - all from Bogg bros. for £350 (obviously much cheaper DIY)

i fitted vacuum take offs to balance the carbs using 4 bike gauges. but you can use a gauge like you use on su carbs
have a look in my archives it may help you its under zx9r carbs
iv had them fitted for 18months with no problems

Thanks Guys

Rather than try and email my mate lots of photos I've told him to log on here instead! He runs a garage and MOT place so could be helpful!
