Driveshaft shortening options

I have a pair of sierra rear driveshafts that each need shortening by about 20mm. What have other folks done for shortening? I could cut/sleeve them, but I just wondered if anyone had had custom shafts made?

I've just had some made by Berrisford engineering, first class.

I cut and sleeved mine (internally) with no problems. Suprisingly when I cut then the inside was spotless and I turned up a sleeve to fit inside and welded them. Mark a line along the shaft before cutting to keep it in balance.

Done quite a few full throttle standing starts and high speed runs with ho problems so far.
