Is it actually a "blacktop"?
The camcover is a silvertop one painted black.

black top
Its a black top with silver top cam cover on it as black camcover is 13mm higher and hit the bonnet, have a look at where the water pump is on first
picture.

Good job - nice to see someone else has done it! Very similar to mine. I'm about to wind the boost up to 12psi to see what happens - I've
a trackday at Bedford coming up and I want to see what it'll do flat out on the 1km straight :-)
Have you used a decompression plate or are you running 8psi on stock c/r?

I would put some heat reflective insulation around the air pipe by the Exhaust manifold. You dont want to add any more heat to the air in the pipe
than necessary.
Dont overdo it at Bedford... Too many engines get blown at trackdays and places like Santa Pod.
Make sure you have a backup plan for getting you and the car home if you do blow it.
Then it wont totaly ruin your day out
EDIT....
Doh!... Just looked again, Thats a Water pipe isnt it. Still same comment applies.
Looks a good job, and hope you get some fun out of if.

Outstanding fella.
Now 2 things, firstly fill your photo archive with as many pictures as you can, so we can admire your work (and fish for ideas)
Secondly, cheers for the info on the cam cover heights it'll save me adding a brace to stop the bonnet bouncing on the timing belts.
