Thats the Carb I was on about where the choke is fed electrically from the back of the alternator.
The spring is wound in a circle inside of the black plastic housing.. when its cold its unwound and closes off the first butterfly/air flap.
When the engines started and the alternator provides power to the spring it heats up and contracts and opens up the butterfly slowly until its fully
open.
I thought the Carb ID ingo was on the little tag shown in the pic.
Was it bought as a complete setup? Because that carb also has an electronic stepper motor to control the idle speed and to rise it when under load.
There should also be a big electronic box with Motorcraft on the front about 4" square, and a distributor with electrical connections on.
That was 1 of the later Dizzy and Carb setups with electronic advance, stepper motor and auto choke.
If you have got the full setup and can just plug it in i'd use it.. it was a very good setup and always worked well on ours.
