sierra propshaft

hi
is it possible to take a sierra prop apart. ive seen on ebay the joints can be bought for other prop that use c clips but on the sierra prop its sort of pressed in.

If it doesn't have the circlips then I think you stuck. Some are just not designed to come apart, besides it's a pain in the backside to get all those little rollers to stay in place.

Sealed propshaft

The Sierra propshaft UJ's are sealed units.

Ford never meant for the joints to be replaced.

I think some people have managed to change the UJ's but I have no idea as to where you will find replacement joints.

It would probably be best to fit an after-market Prop if yours is shot.

mines not shot ive got a sierra one on the way.
and ive got a sierra 4x4 front prop in the shed.
i was thinking of spliting them then puting the two parts with the flanges on back together.
