Firefox acting strange

Usually when I type something into the search bar, eg "bbc" Firefox will open the website despite
not typing "http...." etc. However today it has decided to display a Yahoo search result.

Buggered if I can find out why or stop it doing so.

Searched the pc for spyware and viruses and found nowt.

Any ideas before I reload Firefox

Do you mean the address bar, i.e. the one where the normal URL gets displayed or the Google search bar that comes with firefox?

You can set up keywords for the address bar so you can open a favourite with a single keyword in the address bar; have you tidied up your favourites recently and deleted some?

I installed a program a while ago that tried to bundle in yahoo's annoying search toolbar thing, can't remember what it was though, Might be worth checking in Control Panel -> Add/Remove Programs for anything Yahoo Search related, and uninstalling it
