Silicon hoses

Hi everyone,

Two questions for you.

I've seen that silicon hoses come in lots of different diameters. How easy is it to force a hose that is slightly too small onto an outlet? Also, how easily will a hose that is slightly too big squash down onto a smaller outlet? My problem is this, outlet on thermostat housing, and inlet on the pump are both 34mm diameter, both inlet and outlet on the rad are 31 1/2 mm. Do i really need to buy reducers etc?

Secondly, where is the cheapest place to buy them? I've noticed Demon Thieves are more expensive than Rally Design. Anyone know anywhere else?

Cheers,

Graham

You have a supplier on your doorstep...
Motorscope at Northallerton, cheaper than Demon Chirps.

Cheers guys,

But how well can they be made to fit slightly under / over size inlets and outlets?

Cheers

But only in short lengths, as I said earlier, reducers. Its just I could imagine normal rubber pipes being forced onto slightly too big outlets, and nipped up on those that are slightly too small.

Just wondered how pliable a Silicon hose was

Cheers
