At the stage

At the stage fitting the alternator ,to my ford pinto eng , found that the old mounting clashes with the steering shaft ,
also could you advise on wot sort of alt to use part num ext .
new bracket fabrication is no problem but if you guys use an off the shelf bracket then details please .any one out there have a bottam single crank pulley .

I think everyone who's fitted a pinto runs into this issue. I have made a new bracket out of 5mm steel to raise it higher.

I got a nissan micra alternator off ebay and made my own bracket. The standard alternator is just too damn big!

We got an alternator off a daihatsu 3 cylinder thing - about the smallest one we could find...
