Fuel sender
Just looking to find out if anyone knows how to attach a fuel sender onto an aluminium fuel tank as the manufacturer recommends nuts and bolts however
the tank is sealed and you cant get into it. Is for an etb instruments digidash if that makes any difference.
Cheers.

Looks like you'll be cutting a hole in the tank then....
If you're not living life on the edge you're taking up too much room.

Use rivnuts, you will have to make a hole in the tank anyway for the sender so a few more holes for the rivnuts won't do any harm.

If the tank hasn't been filled you could get a thicker ring welded to the tank in the position you need it in , then cut your hole , drill and
tap the ring to fit the sender.

Hi, im in the same boat. i have a tap and die set but not a rivnuter as the MNR doesnt need it. Could i tap a thread or two into the tank that would
secure it or would this not be enough and i really need a rivnutter?

make a thicker ring and cut in 1/2 so you can get it insdie the tank via the hole for the sender
drill and tap it.
fix it to the underside using a bit of grease or something else that will dissolve in petrol and fix the bolt the sender on,.
hopefully it will stay put long enough for you to get a couple of screws in. ovbvioulsy should youl ever need to remove the sender, it will most
likely drop into the tank.
