engines....
Have not decided on which kit yet but just doing research into engine availability. Am I restricted to e-bay and local breakers or is there anywhere
you can buy engines with ancillery's? Have not decided which engine either but know vauxhall 2,0xe well.
thanks in advance.

depends BEC or CEC.
If BEC have a search for yorkshire-engines postings.
If CEC there are search sites for breakers that you enter what you want and it goes out to them via email. Sometime later your phone rings off the
hook as they all try to sell you what you're after.
For an XE best way is probably to buy a cavalier of the right vintage for peanuts, pull out the engine and sell off the remains to ebay/scrap metal
dealer.

as above, I get my XE's in a running car that I can drive home. Give them a good test drive.
You can get a good one for £400, sell £100 worth of useful bits off it on ebay, weigh the wreck in for £100, so the engine is only £200 and that also
gets you all the ancilliaries in known working condition.
Retro RWD is the way forward...........automotive fabrication, car restoration, sheetmetal work, engine conversion
retro car restoration and tuning

Never used them, be careful as some yards aren't as reputable as others and you deal direct with them as I understand it.
