It's good stuff you know!!!
oven cleaner.
on the left is the AFTER a bit of scraping and 2 application of cleaner, on the right is before cleaning. So clean you can almost read the piston
size.

Give them a ring and see if you can appear on their next advert with your piston in hand!

in the olden days, to decoke engines washing soda would be used - probably the same that is in the can and dishwasher tablets, albeit in less
concentrated form - would work out cheaper too. beware it likes to munch aluminium alloy.

oh cool, I have a big tub of washing soda for the fizzing bath cleaner thing, I'll give it a go. I had the manifold in a bath of vinegar which
dealt very well with the rust but never looked at the carbon
going to get it ceramic coated just for the hell of it

Strangely, if you look at the Cillit Bang instructions, it says that it shouldn't be used for cleaning copper!

Apart from putting new ring gear on flywheels can't see why anyone on here would need to go near an oven

Yes, but wear gloves and eye protection. Nasty stuff.
Coke cleans coins in the same way as Cillit Bang!!!
