Jet identification

Im trying to figure out if I have the correct jets (Roughly) for my engine...

The engine is a pinto 1.6 with ligtened flywheel, standard ignition and 4-1 exhaust headers. ....Its an almost brand new engine build and new carb!

I am 99.9% sure this carb is a 22680888 Weber DGAV

I have been trying to ID the bits and pieces...

Do I have these correct?

1. Unknown
2.Main jet Primary 140
3. Main jet Secondary 135
4. Air corrector Primary 165
5. Air corrector Secondary 150
6. Primary Idle 55
7. Secondary Idle 50
8.pump jet? 50

Where are the emulsion tubes?

All of the jet sizes appear to be "factory spec" appart from the secondary air corrector which is supposed to be 160.

Im tempted to get a selection of jets that other people have mentioned they have used and give them a try.....Coupled with a colourtune and big balls...I might get somewhere....or then again I might totaly screw it up!

Any words of wisdom from those with brains significantly larger than mine?

Emulsion tubes are under air correction jets 4&5 can be tricky to get out some times, a small ezi-out helps but be careful. It looks as it may be a bit rich, is it running poorly? Ford published different data over the years but at one time gave mains, primary 137 sec 127. prim air corr. 170 sec. 125. Emulsion F66 both. Idle prim. 45 sec 60. as I say it looks a bit rich, are you using a 1600 cam? the 2l is better and will give a bit more power.

Btw look at the side of the base flange it will be stamped on there exactly what the carb is, suspect you are right.

I believe its a 2ltr cam...but I cant be sure!

And yes...its running rougher than a badgers arse!

I have to screw the idle mixture right down to get the engine to behave even remotley right,....its just all wrong...

Hence why I assumed the jets are the cause of my issues...

I might try some different ones, but (Appart from the much appreciated suggestions from people), im making a wild stab in the dark!

I get my jets from here.

Might be worth a chat with these guys before changing anything, they seem to know their stuff. But a load of jets and have a play around.
