Carb Guru's
I have a really iritating problem with my zrx1200 carbs. I have rebuilt them 3 times cos petrol pisses out of 1 & 2. Could the problem be pressure
or could it be something else. Im close to giving up on the whole bloody thing. Not had the chance to get out in the car since stoneleigh.

Where is the fuel coming from - out of the carb inlet/out the float chamber etc etc... Is the needle valve on the float working ok?

For one carb to leak is unlucky.
For two carbs to leak suggests fuel pressure problems

Out the air filter side of the carbs and from the tube vent on top.

I've had the same problem with mine - tapping them would eventually stop it. I tried a fresh set of carbs and they did the same thing. I'm
now pretty sure its just the pressure and am trying a regulator...

I know you were talking about a fuel pressure regulator... Did you fit one. That sounds like the pressure from the pump is bypassing the float needle
valve and flooding the float chamber + pressurising fuel through the venturis.

Are you using a bike fuel pump ? if not this will be your problem you must have the right pressure for the carbs

Using a R1 pump about 3psi. the fuel line is tee'd between 2 & 3. I dont know if it is 1 carb or 2 that are leaking as the vent is attached
between the 2 of them, but defo leaking from both at the air filter side from a small hole.

Before you throw any money around, check that the float valve is clean and without ridges where it closes onto its seat.
Otherwise you'll buy the regulator and STILL have the same problem!

If you have 3psi you will not need a regulator it must be fuel flouts valves that are letting fuel passed when the flouts are right up are your
carbs at the right angle
