Bike Carbs pump options.
I've been collecting the parts for my fuel system, using ZZR1100 carburettors, was planning on using a Facet pump approx 5 psi, and a filter
king to regulate the pressure down to about 1.5 psi. I've since looked back and seen threads reccomending using the bike pump, which isn't
a problem, but, I wondered if the bike pump would cope with the additional lengths of pipework, and lack of gravity feed from the tank..
Any experiences or reccomendations welcome.
Cheers.
Pete.

I have ZXR9carbs with a ZZR1100 pump.
The pump is down under the tank so it fills up gravity then pumps the fuel. As long as the pipe is big enough (mine is 8mm) then it pumps and stops
at the correct PSI.

I reckon ZZR1100, 600, & ZX9R pumps are all the same. I had a ZX9 engine in my last car (Striker) and looked identical to the ZZR one.

I've used an R1 carb fuel pump to fuel the fireblade carbs on the zetec, the pump is fitted to one side of the tank and the fuel pick up is
located on the top of the tank.I did wonder myself if it would be man enough for the job, been running for over a year like this now and no problems.I
went for the bike pump so i had no need to mess around with the regulator, the R1/R6 external pumps are a neat unit and easy to fit too.
Hope this helps

I use a ZX6R pump with ZX6R carbs. The pump is mounted in the engine bay and works fine.

Same as our setup
We first used our Facet SS (carb pressure) pump, but fuel squirted from the carbs, bike carbs seem to need only very low pressure...

I have CBR600 carbs and ZZR1100 pump - seems to be happy!
I think bike carbs need low pressure but a high flow rate.
