Hi Chaps,
You know how it is! Engine is in, everything connected. Just need to connect the rad/alternator, and get some petrol.
Then think, do I need the rad and alt, just for a couple of secs. Nah.
Then you think "where am I going to get some petrol at 10.30pm on Boxing Day?"
Think bike. Sucked out some petrol, stuck it in a syringe, and 5ml into each carb.
Turn key!

Stuff the Xmas presents, this was the best of the lot!!

Steve,
I think I'm taking the easy route, compared to you!!
I've done a "Final List" of jobs (I know there'll be a few I've missed), which I'm hoping to make a
"dent" into between now and mid Feb. All the jobs are quite small, but time consuming and numerous.
From 12/2/04 to 1/3/04, I'm between jobs, and hoping to finish rest. Let's say, I'll be mighty unhappy/disappointed if I'm not
on the road by Easter at the latest.

Good news matey!
I know what you mean about the noice, my SD1 donor had no exhausts and it was deafening albeit in a nice way

Hi Craig,
Yeah - good innit!!!!!
Going to order some silencers today (hopefully they'll arrive by the weekend).
Plan to finish exhaust and make alternator mounting over next couple of evenings, then this weekend, run it properly so I can check for leaks, and
ensure fan does it's job etc etc.
Did you see my email dated 15/12?
Anyway must go and find someone to sell me some cherry bombs!!

Congrats! I am starting work on a little steel rig to mount our engine on for a test run.. we still need to get bits for fuelling and ignition
systems, hopefully be able to "join the club" of V8 engine runners before long though
