Which Radiator for an Indy R ?

Morning All

I hear the BBQ was a hit. Anyway I am currently attempting to fit a radiator into my Indy R with a R1 engine.

I followed the build of Hellfire and purchased a Micra rad from the scrapyard however I can't seem to get it to fit (probably due to the inboard shocks... Doh!).

Anyone got a suggestion? Anyone got a Rad that will fit they don't want?

Cheers

Rob

BTW, Paul isn't tiny as the pic would suggest - he had MK build his chassis double sized.

Cheers Fellas

Paul Where from and how much?

I think the space available on the R chassis is smaller due to the shocks, so not sure a polo will fit (same issue as the micra????)

I guess I am best with a bike rad. Do I need to go for a rad from a bike with a simular engine size/ are there other things to look for? Should I just stick with either the R6 or R1 rad? Should I use the R6/ R1 fan or will the Micra fan do?

Thanks again.......

I have no experience of fitting the polo/micra rad but I am sure Paul Fisher has one so it may be worth a U2U

I got my rad from Malc at Yorkshire engines. Give him a call as I needed some plumbing advice as the R6 rad is different to the ZX10R plumbing

I'm using the rad that MK supply with my R1 - mkII escort I was told (by Baz at MK)

If you do a search for R1 plumbing, you should find the same diagram I used. I had a copy of it, but it's on my old computer.

No pics of it with the nose cone on (they're on the camera still and the mrs has nicked it for the day), but you get the idea
