Do CVHs normally smell?
My 1600CVH whifs whenever it's hot. Is this normal?

Smells of hot oil when its hot eh? How hot? Too hot? Overheating? Bacteria in the coolant?
Oil leak thats burnong off somewhere? Exhaust?

if it smells oily when hot, initial things to look at is breather pipes, do you vent breathers to atmosphere or into air box? if vent to air and
engine getting worn, could just its now breathing to much.

Very common on CVHs is the valve stem oil seals which would also show up as smoke on start-up.
If it could be this they are very easy to do and pence to replace - not a head off job if you buy drapers little tool to compress teh spring against
the rocker mounting.

The CVH smells of poo because thats what its made of!
