Perhaps we should start threads titled "Not having problem with my BEC" then?

I can only see one problem with BEC's.
10 seconds to a BAN !
If bike engines are so bad....
Why did a Van driver try to get my bike engine into the back of his van, whilst I was still on it.
And it's only 399cc's
Yes it's the first time I've been reversed into on a bike.

Aye Tom, your right, bike engines in cars are fragile, clunky, just like girls on PMT and a bugger to get into a parking space (or out again!)

Yup someone with commonsense at last. Spose it really depends on what u want, how much money you've got and above all how old you are.

What an absolutely stupid original post!!! So much depends on the ability of the builder to actually put the car together right in the first place
when you are looking at breakdowns. CEC's break down just as often as BEC's i recon - and i'd bet more often than not its down to
mistakes that the builder has made!!! How many genuine total failures are there, and how many are down to build errors?? Lets make an assumption that
more BEC's are used on track than CEC's and so are used a damned sight harder - is it any surprise that weaknesses are found??
About time this sort of deliberately confrontational thread was banned IMHO!! BEC or CEC being best - depends on the use which some people cant get
into their head!!! If its as a bit of fun, to go to Le Mans every year or tour Scotland, and maximum performance isnt top priority then anything but a
CEC is silly. Ultimate performance - then a BEC is generally going to win and will probably be driven harder - so is it any surprise if they break
more often through genuine mechanical failure???

And breathe.................... I reckon he only posted cos he was after a reaction like yours Paul. Personally, I love the CEC v BEC debates
we have on here, provided they're well founded and are factual. Otherwise, just treat the post in the same light-hearted manner it was
posted.........
