Webber Q's

When it comes to webber carbs, is there an appropriate angle at which they should be mounted? or is Perfectly level preferred?

I have the spring washers that allow the carb to be mounted, can someone remind me how far I should be tightening the nuts? I remember I used to use a feeler gauge.

carbs are best kept level as they may misbehave on corners if not.

can't mind about the spring washer gap, I just tightened them up so they had a small bit of play, never that precise to use feeler gauges

I was looking at these the other day and people reckon about 1mm gap on the rubber bush thing when tightened.

The way I did it was that the difference between the two ends was just a bit more than the thickness of the spring - see RH corner. Rescued attachment thackery.JPG
