Zetec Block/Exhast Header Pipe Gasket

I have an block / exhaust header pipe gasket for my zetec, it's two thin sheets of pressed steel spot welded together.

My question is... do I assemble this dry or should I be using a sealant material of some kind? Any recomendations?

Keith.

Why do they call Port Harcourt "The Garden City"?...... Becauase they can't spell Stramash.

The manual doesn't specify any sealant, I assembled mine dry, the one I took off had been dry assembled, seems to be ok, but only had a short run - no coolant.

BTW mines a blacktop.

It was dry on the OE install of the engine and I've installed it dry on my Zetec Ph3 to Westfield manifold. Doesn't blow...
