gearbox mount

will sva man frown upon a gearbox mount, or wishbone, or anything for that matter, which is spacer with washers?

eg, gearbox mount. the brackets on the chassis are maybe 1 1/2", but would it be ok if i made a cross member say 1" thick, and packed out the rest of the space with washers?

same with wishbones

good stuff

quite like the idea of not needing my measuring to be exact
that would involve putting the engine in, and taking it out several times, and not being able to get under the car anyway lol

why do i insist on owning and building cars so low you can't get an arm underneath?! next car's gonna be a land rover
