rear spring lb

Hi all, went for a 60mile trip today in the F27 and its become apparent that the rear suspension is to stiff... its not absorbing the bumps just bouncing off them and now I have a headache.

I tried to turn the damping down but didn't help.

So what spring lb can you recommend for a more comfortable drive..

Standard Locost is around the 180lb mark, how does that compare with what you have now?

Personally I'd take it to procomp and get all 4 shocks and springs set up just right.

I've seen a night and day improvement in ride and handling reported by those that have.

Not sure on the rear lb but when you stand behind the car and push down on the rear the suspension doesn't move.

I could remove the springs but I guess that the lb as been worn away.

I have no one local to set the car up as that would be ideall..

I have some springs in the shed will check tomorrow, but is 160-180lb a good start.

eck, should move! must be very high rate can move the ones on the frount (350lb, I think).. Sure your not on the bump stops or have the dampers set hard?

I raised the ride height by 10mm today as it was a little low, best thing to do is ti take the shocks off..

Just looking for a good idea of spring lb for a comfortable ride..

I have that problem, it is the damper bush binding. Yo don`t have gaz dampers?

What's the front poundage like?
You don't have the springs back on the front, front on the back, do you?

If there is no give at the rear when pressing down, it's quite likely the wishbone bushes are binding.

When you tightened them, was the car in the air, or on the floor? Metalastic bushes will only permit so much travel before going solid. Other types ofbush can be similar if fitment is not perfect.

If you slacken the 8 wishbone bolts that secure them to the chassis, does the suspension compress when bounced then?
