Can any one suggest a good source of threaded tube for wishbones.
Or
Am I better off welding in a threaded insert

Ps have done a search but found nothing
Metal electrical conduit couplers ? No idea about strength though.
There's a guy on Ebay selling them and the adjusters to go with
eBay - The UK's Online Marketplace
I've just bought some Steel adjusters to replace my Aluminium ones following reports that the Ali ones were breaking.
I've used these guys - very fast delivery and good prices (and Free P&P - who says we Scots are tight?)

Might help if you told us which end of the wishbones you are working on.
The wishbones are for an electric powered race car we are building at school.
The current idea is to use a single rose joint on the top and bottom wishbone to connect to a custom upright.
Now where near as much force as in a kit car, but need to be over engineered for safety.
Looking for a source ( not too expensive ) for some single bushes and crush tubes for mounting to the chassis, along with tubes to use on the chassis
end of the wish bone. Then a threaded section or insert for the rose joint end.
Was looking at the Talon site – any chance of a good price?

To be honest it will be cheaper to use parts that are all ready in stock rather than have parts custom made.
Suspension brackets 44mm or 34mm id standard haynes roadster £1.50 each
1 pair of polybushes and crush tube £4.75 each
Wishbone bush tubes £1 each
Threaded bosses made in 20,25 or 30mm stock depending on size £5 each.
May well be in touch soon.
Thanks
Paul
