Looking for a bike dolly to save the trailer, found this

but can't see how it rises just by tightening the straps?

Pulling the straps tight brings the dolly base higher to clamp against the tyre.

Personally, wouldn't use anything like that.

I wouldnt have thought a motorbike gearbox is designed to run long distances freewheeling in neutral?!
Also the chain would be under tension from below which may cause excesive rubbing on top of swing arm if chain is a bit slack.

And you will still need a trailer lighting board on the back of your bike!

if anything on that set up gives up - and everything is under a hell of a lot of tension in that setup, you've got a bike sliding down the motorway behind you.

I'd steer well clear personally.

With a bit more thought and another couple of bits of box section, it could be so much better. The idea of lifting the front of the bike with the straps is fine but keeping it up there whilst bouncing about is just asking for trouble.
The fork seals shouldn't be a problem as once pulled down, its the sprungs that are taking the weight. The seals are there for the damping. I'd like to see it with a CE sticker and BS kite mark!

yeah, i see how it works, take a pencil, hold it in the middle, put one end on the edge of a table, and push up on the other edge, your fingers holding it are pushed up.
but it looks terrible design! don't fancy bending on the handle bars, and going over bumps will pull on them more than just tightening up will! also no articulation in the joint where it joins the tow ball, er, no thanks... dogs b*llocks indeed, theres 1 word too many in that...
